Student life

The Lycée Français de Barcelone has two entities for Student Life  (Vie Scolaire)- one dedicated to the Middle School (located in room 003 on the ground floor), the other dedicated to the High School (located near the entrance hall). They are available to welcome students, parents and teachers. The Principal Education Advisers (CPEs) are responsible for these services. Any tardiness or absence must be reported to the Student Life office.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF CPEs?

¬ Their missions fall into three categories:

SCHOOL EDUCATION POLICY

  • Participation in the development and implementation of educational policy: students’ adoption of the rules of collective life, preparing students to become responsible citizens, autonomous and with a sense of initiative.
  • Contribution to participatory citizenship: the adopting of values ​​of tolerance, solidarity and living together. Leading and following-up of student representation bodies (class delegates, Student Council for Middle School, Student Council for High School).

STUDENT MONITORING

  • Individual and collective pedagogical and educational follow-up, in collaboration with teachers, health personnel and other personnel: attendance, punctuality, working conditions, search for solutions in the event of difficulty.
  • Communication with the families of students.

ORGANIZATION OF STUDENT LIFE

  • Organization of school space and time management outside the classroom: assuring the welcoming and integration of new students, entries and exits, student movement.
  • Contribution to the quality of the school environment: prevention and fighting against discrimination, violence, incivility, harassment; prevention and management of conflicts.
  • Leading of the Student Life team: management of educational assistants (defining their tasks and schedules), encouraging their involvement in educational activities.
