ADMISSION CRITERIA

What are the selection criteria to be admitted at the Lycée Français de Barcelone ?

 

In “Petite Section” (Grade 1)
Guaranteed allocation if registration is done between 1/12/20 to 31/01/2021 for:
1- Student who already has a brother or sister studying at the LFB.
2-Student with French nationality
Other allocation will be given according to the received date.

 

From “Moyenne Section” (Grade 2) to “Terminale”
Priority will be given as:
1 – Student with French nationality studying in the French school system (in France or abroad) and which at least one of the parents is transferred for work related reasons by his company.
2 – Student with other nationality studying in the French system network (in France or abroad) which at least one of the parents is transferred for work related reasons by his company.

 

PROCEDURE

 

  • The completion of the admission process must be done by the parent or the legal representative of the student where indicated in the form.
  • The admission of the student is confirmed when the final notification is given by the Lycée Français de Barcelone.
  • The allocation to a grade or a division is submitted by the evaluation of the student and  the reglementary procedures of guidance applied by the Lycée Français de Barcelone.
  • The admission process in the Lycée Français de Barcelone involves respect of the fundamental educational, linguistic and cultural principles applied in the French establishments abroad.
  • In the educational field, the official instructions issued by the French regulations or bi-lateral agreements will take precedence over others.
  • The respect to the internal rules and the financial regulations by the student and his legal representative are mandatory in order to continue with the admission process.
  • The admission at the Lycée Français de Barcelone is submitted to the payment of a first time registration fee which will be lost in case of withdrawal.
  • Admission will be cancelled if the registration fee is not paid. Furthermore, if the student is not present at LFB by the 1st of October, the granted admission could be lost in case of an existing waiting list.
  • All data from students and families are stored on file in the computer system of the Lycée Français de Barcelone.They are processed in compliance with the conventions, orders and rules of the European Union and the organic law 15/1999 applicable in the automatic process of personal data.
  • For a perspective evaluation, guidance or allocation, the establishment is authorized to disclose to the educational authorities any document concerning the student school education.
  • Any request for access, corrections can be addressed by mail to the Lycée Français de Barcelone.
