3°3 in London

"From the 15th to the 17th of January, the 3º3 class went to London. Miss Conan (SVT teacher), Miss Nadal (English teacher) and Mr Sorell (Music teacher) went with us.

It all started the 15th at 5:50 A.M, when we were supposed to meet at the airport. Then at 7:20 A.M. our plane took off. We landed at 8:30 A.M. local time. But, to arrive to the Youth hostel, where we stayed, our class had to take another traject of an hour with a train. After that, we did a boat trip on the river Thames and we saw a lot of monuments. Then, we went to Greenwich and visited its observatory full of clocks and chronometers. We had our dinner in the hostel and we went to bed at 10:30 P.M.

The next day, we woke up very early again, 7:00 A.M., to arrive in time to do a 4-hour workshop with the English scientists in the Royal Institution. It was about genetics and how to make a DNA fingerprint as true detectives do. We ate there during the 30 min pause. Then, our class visited the National Gallery where we had to find important paintings. We went back to the hostel to have dinner. After that, we saw from 7:00 P.M to 10:00 P.M. the Matilda’s musical.

The last day, we visited the National History Museum and we did the same game as in the National Gallery: to find skeletons, dinosaurs, fossils… After the museum, we went to meet with Kenneth Hesketh, an English compositor, at the Lycée Français of London. We listened to his music and asked him about it. At about 3:00 P.M., some of us were in Harrods while the non-interested waited for them in a Café. Then, we had to pick up our luggage in the Youth hostel and took the train back to Gatwick airport. We flew for 2h30 and arrived at 11:20 P.M. Spanish time.

It was an exciting and a very interesting trip to London. In my opinion, the best moment was when we were watching Matilda because I felt very happy to be with my class, with my friends and it was as we were united the ones with the others. This journey is a one chance opportunity, I am glad that I went with this fantastic class and I will never ever forget it."

“It was a really great trip !! My favorite moment is when we went to the musical, I was very impressed !”

“Once we were in the airplane we started enjoying the pleasant feeling of holidays coming and
we didn’t have the time to think about it that we were already walking like tourists in the
magical streets of London.”
